Actor William Daniels, who played Mr. Feeny on “Boy Meets World,” stopped an attempted burglary at his San Fernando Valley home on Saturday night.

A TMZ report says that Daniels, 91, was home with his wife Bonnie Bartlett when he heard someone trying to break in through a back door. Daniels turned on a light and the potential intruder fled the property.

In a statement to People, his rep confirmed the news and said: “Someone tried to break into the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Daniels on Saturday evening. Luckily, Mr. Daniels was able to frighten away the person and the LAPD quickly responded. They are both well. Mr. Daniels thanks all his fans for their concern.”

Daniels played the beloved Mr. Feeny on “Boy Meets World”  — a popular staple on ABC’s TGIF programming — from 1993–2000. He is also known for his roles in “St. Elsewhere,” “The Graduate” and “The Blue Lagoon.” He and his wife have two children.

Daniels’ co-star Will Friedle — who played Eric Matthews on the show — weighed in on the news, writing on Twitter: “Don’t ever mess with Mr. Feeny! #LoveYouBillAndBonnie.”

We’re glad to hear Daniels and his wife are doing well and we’re sending well wishes!
