Netflix Has A Ton Of Secret Movie Categories And Here’s How To Access Them

Let’s face it, it can be pretty overwhelming to sort through the vast number of movies and TV shows available on Netflix. While there is a lot of great stuff available, there are also a lot of movies and TV shows that a person should never spend time watching.

The good news is that Netflix has a secret master list of categories that are much more niche-focused than the big buckets like action, drama or documentaries.

How To Watch

As first discovered by What’s On Netflix, there is a way to access all these hidden categories to help you figure out what to watch. You will have to watch via a browser on your computer, as you need to type in the codes in the address bar.

Step 1: Enter This URL

Using your browser, go to the url below and swap out the ### with one of the codes from the list below:

Love Military Movies?

For example, 25804 is code for military TV shows.  So just go to http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/25804 and you will get a list of all the TV shows that fall under that category. (Note: You will have to sign into your account to access these.)

Some Interesting Categories

Some of the more interesting and useful categories I found are Zombie Horror Movies: 75405, Quirky Romance: 36103, Dark Comedies: 869, Disney: 67673, Political Thrillers: 10504, and TV Comedies: 10375.
