Netflix Is Making A Docuseries About Dogs And The Trailer Will Make You Smile

This will be easy to binge watch!

Ah, dogs! They’re furry, adorable and some of our most loyal and lovable companions. What is it about these animals that leads them to forge unmistakable bonds with their owners?

Netflix knows how much we love “man’s best friend” and, to that end, have created a documentary series called “Dogs,” which releases on Nov. 16. “Dogs” is a six-part series that producers hope will take viewers “on an inspirational journey exploring the remarkable, perhaps even magical qualities that have given these animals such a special place in all of our hearts.”

Each episode highlights a dog (and its owners) from a different part of the world, including Costa Rica, Italy, Japan, Syria and the United States. And each story shows the dog and its family’s unique connection. But despite the differences between each story, the documentary producers hope to show how these wonderful animals connect people on a deeper level.

“In times of division, volatility and confusion ‘Dogs’ is an emotional palate cleanse,” said producer Amy Berg. “Watching the show offers a salve for the spirit and reminds us of the redemptive power of love.”

In the first episode of the series, viewers will see the story of Rory, a therapy dog who is welcomed by a family with an 11-year-old who suffers from seizures. From there, the series moves to Germany and Syria, where a Syrian refugee named Ayhem works to reunite with his beloved Siberian husky named Zeus, whom he had to leave behind when he fled the war-torn region.

Viewers will also get a glimpse into the lives of an Italian fisherman and his working dog named Ice, two Japanese dog groomers who pursue their dreams of reaching artistic heights at a world-renowned competition and a dog sanctuary in Costa Rica. The series concludes in New York City with an episode that focuses on adoptions and rescue dogs.
