I thought I had a cushy job writing for various online publications, but no. The latest open position at Netflix trumps everything, and I do mean everything.
Netflix will pay you to Instagram for them. While traveling throughout Europe. Yes, you read that correctly. If that didn’t just make the top of your “dream job” list, then I don’t know what will.
So, I’m sure you’re dying to know how to apply, already. Well, it’s pretty simple, really. All you have to do is add #Grammasters3 to three of your original Instagram photos, and that’s it.
Your application’s all done— with absolutely no paperwork involved. It makes sense to do it this way, considering your job will be to Instagram for the company, after all.
But, let’s find out a little more about the scope of the position before you run off to hashtag your very best photos, shall we?
Ok, so the job lasts for two weeks and takes you to various locations across Europe (with travel expenses paid for— score!). Once there, you’ll “take photographs of iconic film and TV locations for Netflix utilizing the Instagram application,” according to Netflix. You may also be asked to give interviews and make media appearances.
So, if you’re interested (and who isn’t) check out the detailed rules about what types of photos can be entered. Once you make sure you’ve got the rules down, be sure to have the #Grammasters3 added to your most qualified photos by March 6.
From there, 25 finalists will be selected and notified via Instagram on or around March 11. If you make it to the top 25, you may be asked to fill out paperwork and upload additional photos, fitting a certain film theme.
The top 4 candidates will be awarded Grammaster status around March 29, and will soon find themselves living their best lives— traveling across Europe and Instagramming, naturally. But then again, what else could possibly constitute as “best life” status, you know?
Oh, and did I mention that this vacation (I mean, job) lasts for two weeks at $2,000 per week? I’m telling you, I can’t hashtag fast enough to apply for this incredible opportunity!
Do you have what it takes to be a Grammaster for Netfilx? Well, it’s certainly worth a shot (or three, posted on Instagram, that is). Pun definitely intended.
