New Blueberry Cheerios are coming just in time for summer

Are you a fan of blueberries in the morning? The ultimate breakfast fruit goes perfect in not only muffins, pancakes and waffles, but also on oatmeal and cereal or blended into a healthy smoothie.

If putting blueberries on top of your cereal is your favorite way to enjoy them in the morning, I have some news you’re definitely going to love. Instead of just adding blueberries to your bowl in the morning, you can now buy blueberry Cheerios.

The new Cheerios are made with blueberry puree and natural flavors and contain no artificial flavors or colors. They are also gluten-free and have 14 grams of whole grains per serving. And, of course, they’re blue!

If you don’t see them on store shelves just yet, you’ll be able to find them at major retailers nationwide soon this spring. The new, permanent addition to the Cheerios family costs around $3.99 for a 10.8-ounce box and $4.99 for a 19.8-ounce box.

Cheerios posted about the new release on Instagram, writing, “Inspired by the fresh taste of blueberry, these delicious O’s will be here just in time for spring.”:

This is far from the first fun flavor Cheerios has released over the years, though many of them are seasonal and only available for a short time, like peach and pumpkin spice. Other permanent flavors include maple and peanut butter. And Cheerios already has a berry-infused flavor, Very Berry Cheerios — which are not as colorful as the new blueberry cereal.
