New Smirnoff ice flavor is pink lemonade

Summer is wafting this way with its sizzling heat. So it’s time for new summer adult drinks to debut! Perennial alcoholic beach and pool sipper Smirnoff Ice has introduced a new Pink Lemonade flavor that, if reviews are to be believed, is highly drinkable.

Smirnoff, in a product description, describes the new ready-to-drink Smirnoff Ice Pink Lemonade flavor as “a delicious flavored malt beverage with a balance of lemon, strawberry, and raspberry flavors.”

Delish, in a tweet, called the new Smirnoff Ice flavor “summer in a bottle.”

“Delicious enough to elevate your most iconic moments of summer; for when the sunsets are so good, they’re pink,” as the description on Total Wine says.

Its packaging has a 1980s neon vibe to it, complete with palm trees and a lemon slice.

“This definitely isn’t the pink lemonade from your lemonade stand,” Taste of Home said. “Smirnoff has infused this vodka with red berries — specifically, strawberries and raspberries. The sweetness balances out the tart lemon flavor perfectly, making sure neither flavor overpowers the other.”

The Smirnoff Ice flavor comes in 11.2-ounce bottles with  4.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). Delish notes that a six-pack of the Pink Lemonade Smirnoff Ice flavor has just about the same amount of alcohol as one full 750 ml bottle of vodka. So, as always, drink responsibly!

The new pink lemonade Smirnoff ice product follows the early April release of Smirnoff Pink Lemonade Vodka, which has a 30% ABV. As seen below in a tweet from KC Wine & Spirits, the vodka version has three sizes available.

The average cost of the Smirnoff Ice Pink Lemonade flavor is around $9 for a six-pack depending on where you’re buying it. Online alcohol seller Drizly lists a six-pack for $10.99 (though it’s currently unavailable). Total Wine has it for $8.49. The availability of the new flavor is growing as the new Smirnoff Ice flavor is distributed across the U.S. You can also check Smirnoff’s product finder to find a specific location near you.

Based on a sampling of the 5,300 or so comments on a post about the Pink Lemonade flavor, people are excited to try it! Comments like “looks dangerous,” “my type of drink,” and “wanna try these,” came up over and over.

Among the other Smirnoff Ice flavors currently listed on the beverage manufacturer’s site are Original, Black Cherry, Green Apple, Hurricane Punch, Mango, Peach Bellini, Pineapple, Raspberry, Screwdriver, Margarita, Strawberry, Triple Black, Watermelon Mimosa, Grape, Club, Original Zero Sugar and Red, White and Berry. Variety party packs are available, too.

Smirnoff also has a new Smirnoff Ice Red, White & Berry Smash flavor, which is canned and has 8% ABV. The Smash version joins the existing seasonal ice, seltzer and vodka options, all of which have a “cherry, citrus and blue raspberry” taste to them, according to Smirnoff.

What do you think? Is a berry-infused hard pink lemonade going to be your summer sipper of choice? Or are you more of a fan of the traditional pink lemonade in a pitcher?
