Nickelodeon Lovers, There’s Now A Subscription Box Just For You

The Nick Box

The folks over at Nickelodeon must realize that the fans of the channel’s ’90s heyday are getting older and prone to nostalgia (I can say that because I’m one of those people).

First, they brought back Double Dare. (The special is airing July 22 at 9:30 p.m. PT, so don’t miss it.)

Now, they are launching a Nickelodeon subscription box service that will send retro awesomeness to your doorstep four times a year. Think about some of your favorite Nick shows from that time period. The early ’90s brought animated greats such as “Doug,” “Rugrats,” “The Ren & Stimpy Show,” “Rocko’s Modern Life” and “Aaahh! Real Monsters” plus live action shows like “All That.”

The Nick Box, as the subscription service is called, will bring you exclusive Nickelodeon items, from limited-edition collectibles and toys to wearables (they ask for your T-shirt and shoe size when you sign up).

The inaugural box will be “Nicktoons”-themed, and according to Hello Giggles will include a Reptar figurine from “Rugrats,” a Stimpy mug, and a plush Spunky from “Rocko’s Modern Life.” The second box, which will ship this fall, will be “All That”-themed, followed by “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (which Nick acquired in 2009 though we watched it as kids on CBS) this winter.

Each box costs $49.99 (for what the website says is $100+ of stuff), or if you sign up for the annual subscription, the price per box drops to $44.95.

Personally, I’m holding out for a “Hey Dude” and “Salute Your Shorts” box, what about you?
