According to Mashable and CNBC, those famous ‘Back To The Future’ self-lacing shoes that Marty McFly donned years ago are finally a reality. At least in New York City so far. The shoes first appeared in the 1989 ‘Back To The Future: Part 2’ and ever since then, people have dreamed of owning a pair.
Just yesterday, Nike teased us with the following tweet.

And then CNBC correspondent Sara Eisen has confirmed the shoes are real!

We don’t have any details yet, but I’m guessing they’ll look very similar to the ones produced in 2011 that benefited the Michael J. Fox foundation. If these do go on sale, then I’m sure they’ll fetch a pretty penny on eBay.
