These Easy No-Bake Energy Bites Taste Just Like A Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup

Beaming Baker

Chocolate, peanut butter and packed with protein? Now, that’s just the kind of mid-day pick-me-up you need. These no-bake chocolate peanut butter energy bites will help you get through the workday, fuel your body post-workout and so much more. Luckily, they’re easy to eat on the go and taste just like your favorite candy. So basically, you’ll want to carry these around with you everywhere.

The recipe comes from Beaming Baker and only requires four ingredients, so these are as easy to make as they are to eat. You’ll need unsalted creamy peanut butter, coconut flour, maple syrup and unsweetened cocoa powder to make this protein-packed treat.

Combine all of the ingredients, and whisk until well-mixed. Scoop mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze until somewhat firm. Then, roll into balls or feel free to enjoy in scoop-form. Either way, you’ll end up with a snack that’s adorable and chock full of peanut butter and chocolate flavor:

According to Beaming Baker, these taste almost exactly like a Reese’s peanut butter cup, so you’re sure to get plenty of satisfaction out of them. If they stick around for long, they store well in the refrigerator for one to three weeks. You can also keep them in the freezer for one to two months. But we have a feeling your family will gobble these up before it comes to that.

According to Healthline, protein is an essential part of everyone’s diet. Having these protein-rich energy balls on hand can be a great way to make sure you’re adding protein into your everyday routine. Nut butter, chia seeds and oats are all protein-rich foods that can easily be incorporated into these energy balls, too, if you’re willing to add in a few more ingredients.

This recipe from Gimme Some Oven, for example, still has all of the chocolate and peanut butter flavor you love. But it also contains chia seeds, oats and coconut flakes for additional flavor, allowing for a mix of protein and a bit of crunch in each bite.

And if you’d like to get a burst of chocolate flavor from an actual piece of chocolate instead of cocoa powder, you’ll love this version from Must Have Mom. This recipe calls for old-fashioned oats, peanut butter, honey or agave as a sweetener and semi-sweet chocolate chips.

There’s no going wrong with any of these peanut butter and chocolate combos. So, gather together any ingredients you’ve already got in your pantry and get to work! You’ll be thankful to have these energy bites around when you need a little boost throughout the week.
