Not One But TWO Types Of S’mores Girl Scout Cookies Will Debut In 2017

Girl Scouts

As if Girl Scout cookies weren’t amazing enough, two s’mores flavors will debut for cookie season 2017. S’MORES FLAVOR, I REPEAT, S’MORES FLAVOR.

With two different cookie takes on the campfire classic, it’s pretty much a given that we’ll be spending extra when those girls in green come knocking.

According to the official Girl Scouts announcement, one cookie is “a crispy graham cookie double dipped in a crème icing and enrobed in a chocolatey coating.” This sounds suspiciously like a chocolate-covered graham cracker on steroids, and we’re into it.

The other cookie is “a crunchy graham sandwich cookie with a chocolate and marshmallow-y filling.” So basically, a tiny s’more you can make with no campfire necessary. Enough said—take my money. In other news, can anyone else see themselves heating these up in the microwave to get that ooey-gooey s’mores feeling? Just me? Okay.

This joyous news comes as the Girl Scouts celebrate 100 years of selling cookies (and doing other amazing things, but let’s just focus on the cookies for now). In fact, the Girl Scouts invented s’mores in 1927, so it makes sense that their latest offerings would be in keeping with this time-honored tradition.

So, do we have you drooling yet? If so, we’re sorry… because you’ll have to wait until January of 2017 when the next cookie selling period begins. In the meantime, it’s still summer, so go fix up a real-live s’more of your own.
