The Obamas Will Live In This $5 Million Mansion After The White House (Photos)

Typically, after a presidential term is up, the first family moves back to their home town and as far away from Washington as possible. As reported by Politico, the Obamas are bucking the trend and staying put in Washington, D.C.  And for good reason, their youngest daughter, Sasha, still has a few years left in high school and the family wants to avoid moving her to another school.

The first family will be trading in the White House for a beautiful home in an upscale neighborhood called Kalorama, just two miles away. The neighborhood is already home to many ambassadors and has the necessary security that would be required.

The house will be rented from the former Clinton Press Secretary Joe Lockart and wife Giovanna Gray.  The 8,200 square foot house has nine bedrooms and eight and a half baths.  Not too shabby. The house was purchased in 2014 for $5.3 million.
