Movie premieres are always full of celebrities and gorgeous fashion moments. So, it should come as no surprise that the “Ocean’s 8” debut was a night full of glitz and glamour. With a cast as star-studded as this, it had to be.
The film stars Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Awkwafina and Helena Bonham Carter, and these women made some impeccable fashion choices when they stepped out to premiere the film in New York City this week.
One look at this line-up, and you’ll be blown away:
Did these ladies bring it, or what?
“Ocean’s 8” centers around a group of women who have teamed up to pull off a heist at the Met Gala. Considering the Met Gala is one of the world’s most fashionable affairs — it makes sense that the cast decided to honor it with some avant-garde evening wear. The movie is a female-led reboot of the Ocean’s heist movies that started in 1960 with Frank Sinatra in the lead role and restarted in 2001 with George Clooney as the star.
Let’s take a closer look at these leading ladies and their lovely ensembles, shall we?!
Cate Blanchett
The two-time Oscar-winning actress stunned in a contemporary take on a classic pantsuit.
Sarah Paulson
Paulson’s look was by far the most eye-catching of the evening, given its neon color.
Sandra Bullock
She looked absolutely gorgeous in a gown complete with sequin and feather accents.
Anne Hathaway
Hathaway’s dress had a graphic print and billowing ball gown skirt and made her look like a modern-day princess.
Mindy Kaling
Kaling’s shimmering black dress with a high slit was a glamorous take on the classic little black dress.
Rihanna
Rihanna’s known for being daring with her wardrobe, and she brought out all the stops for the “Ocean’s 8” premiere, wearing a metallic pleated dress with lots of ruffles. Work it!
Awkwafina
Don’t let the white coloring fool you — this ethereal cape and wide leg pant set was anything but plain.
Helena Bonham Carter
The actress channeled old Hollywood glam with this ruched off-the-shoulder number.
All in all, it was a stunning display from a powerhouse lineup!
But seriously — did you expect anything less?
