These quadruplets are all starting at Yale this fall

Getting into an Ivy League school is difficult for any high school student, no matter how stellar their grades and extracurriculars. But for the Wade quadruplets of Liberty Township, Ohio, attending Yale University is a family affair. All four of the family’s quadruplets—Zach, Aaron, Nick and Nigel—are starting their freshman year at the prestigious university this fall. How incredibly impressive and inspiring!

Although the brothers were accepted at a range of top-tier schools, such as Harvard, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins and Stanford, they all ultimately decided this past May that they would go to Yale. They say that the community atmosphere and killer financial aid packages made Yale perfect for each of them as individuals.

“We knew that Yale was kinda the place for us,” Nigel told TODAY. “The sense of community that we felt was unlike any other.”

That doesn’t mean they’re going to be hanging out together all the time, though. Each brother lives in a difference residence hall and has his own major: Nigel chose neuroscience, Zach is studying chemical engineering, Nick will study international relations and Aaron is going with artificial intelligence.

Although they’re all glad they’re attending the same school, it seems the brothers are looking forward to building their own lives as college students.

“We see each other in passing,” Aaron said.

Nick agreed, joking, “We’ll, like, acknowledge each other’s presence.”

Their parents, Kim and Darren Wade, are glad all four of their sons headed to college together.

“They have each other,” Kim said. “There’s a unit here, so I feel good about it.”

Amazingly, the Wade brothers are not the first set of quadruplets to attend Yale together: Kenny, Martina, Ray and Carol Crouch from Danbury, Connecticut, started at Yale in 2010.

Although the Wade brothers say that people assume they’re geniuses, they say that’s not exactly the case.

“We are just regular kids,” Nigel said.

While that may be true, we have a feeling their time at Yale will be anything but regular!
