There are a lot of reasons to love Oprah Winfrey, and one of them is how much she loves food. She published her first cookbook, “Food, Health and Happiness,” in 2017, and has her own line of comfort foods, like soups and pizzas, in grocery stores. Now her line is making your kitchen even tastier by expanding to include brand new frozen skillet dishes.
The new O, That’s Good! meals are ready in just 10 minutes and free of artificial flavors, dyes and preservatives. There are six options, all with a twist of either cauliflower or carrots and red pepper in the sauce: chicken Alfredo; chicken Margherita; Italian sausage and rigatoni; Southwest style chicken and penne; garlic chicken and potatoes; and three cheese tortellini.
Aside from the tortellini, they include antibiotic-free chicken or natural sausage.
Each dish clocks in between 180 and 220 calories per serving. They retail for $6.99, are meant to serve two and are available now in stores across the country.
“Comfort food gets a bad rap, but not anymore,” Winfrey said in a press release. “With my skillets, there’s a twist of veggies in the sauce, but they taste so good you’d never know the difference. These are inspired by my dinnertime favorites and you’re going to love how easy they are to make!”
The new meals mark the fourth launch for Mealtime Stories, a joint venture between Kraft Heinz and Oprah Winfrey. Ten percent of Mealtime Stories’ profits will be equally split between charitable organizations fighting hunger, RiseAgainst Hunger and Feeding America.
Along with the new skillets, O, That’s Good! is extending its pizza line to include three new frozen thin-crust pizza options with a twist of cauliflower in the crust: BBQ chicken, Margherita and white.
