How to order a ‘Ghostbusters’ Frappuccino from Starbucks’ secret menu

There’s something strange in the neighborhood, and you can get it at your nearest Starbucks — but only if you know the right way to place your order.

With Halloween coming close, what better time of year to sip a beverage that’s so sweet and creamy, it’s almost spooky? Thanks to Starbucks’ so-called “secret menu,” you can order the “Ghostbusters” Frappuccino all October long, or any time you want.

While there is no true special menu hidden away from the eyes of customers, baristas and coffee shop aficionados have developed dozens of delicious drinks that can be whipped up with ingredients and add-ins readily available at Starbucks nationwide. The “Ghostbusters” Frappuccino is one such drink.

To get one, start with a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. Asking nicely for the barista to add some raspberry syrup and strawberry puree will give it the red and white design that resembles the movie’s logo (and a deliciously fruity flavor!). Finally, request that they top it with whipped cream and mocha cookie crumbles for the full red, white and black effect.

You can find the precise ordering instructions on TotallytheBomb.com, where it appears as part of their collection of Starbucks Secret Menu items.

The drink has made multiple appearances on social media, such as this Facebook post by David Swartz.

“Trying this unofficial ‘Ghostbusters Frappuccino’ from Starbucks,” he posted.

And, yes, it is eye-catching, but how does it taste?

“Yo, this Ghostbusters @Starbucks secret menu drink is legit,” tweeted @kattiikinz.

Josh Brown enjoyed his order and liked that it had red and white instead of green, which he thought would have been too predictable.

“The Ghostbusters Frap at Starbucks is delicious,” he posted. In the comments, he added, “It’s supposed to be the logo colors. Honestly, I like it because people thought outside the box. Everyone does slime and I’m just exhausted on slime.”

We know you ain’t afraid of no ghost, but you can still treat yourself to a “Ghostbusters” Frappuccino whenever the mood strikes.
