Original Nintendo Is Back! A Mini-NES Classic Edition Console Can Be Yours

Nintendo

If Pokémon Go has taught us anything, it’s that classics can be recreated in an entirely new and modern way. And they’ll still be the same old classics we used to love.

Now that Nintendo is officially launching a Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition, you’ll be able to play some of your favorites including Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. once again.

The mini system will come with 30 games pre-loaded and will connect to your TV through an HDMI. It comes with a controller that’s meant to replicate the original one. But, this time around the controller also connects to the Wii and can be used with a Wii remote. A little different than the way this worked when it was first released in 1985, but hey, that’s modern technology for you.

The Nintendo of America president is genuinely looking to keep it old-school with these games. According to Polygon, players won’t be to connect the games to their Nintendo accounts, and there won’t be any online playing with others. Players will, however, still be able to save their progress in-game on the console, which is a helpful update.

The console will support two-person play, so you can purchase a second controller for $9.99.

The NES Classic will be available for purchase on November 11 for $59.99. So, if you’ve been missing your classic Nintendo—get ready for a blast from the past.

Here’s the full list of games that’ll be loaded onto the Classic Edition:
