Over-the-sink rack rolls up for easy storage

If you don’t have a lot of kitchen counter space, keeping up with the washing and drying of dishes can quickly become a perilous stacking game during which you’re just waiting for the cereal bowl perched on top of the pile of pots and pans to come tumbling down.

That’s why this roll-up over-the-sink drying rack seems like such a great idea. It turns your sink space into an extra drying area and can be tucked away when not in use.

I bought a similar drying rack over a year ago. Recently,  while we’ve been sheltering in place, I’ve been using it a lot more often, as we seem to go through dishes faster now that everyone is home 24-7. The one we have is sturdy enough for heavier items like the dutch oven you see drying below. I also like how the silicone coating keeps items from slipping around on it.

Another bonus is that since it covers your sink opening, you’ll have to put those dry dishes away sooner rather than later in order to use your sink again. Yay, motivation!
