Paris Jackson shows off her singing chops—and sounds just like late father, Michael Jackson

It looks like musical talent runs deep in the Jackson family genes.

Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson and his second wife, Debbie Rowe, showed some serious singing chops recently in a video posted on Instagram. Jackson took center stage with her cousin Austin Brown as he performed his new song, “Smile,” at Soho House West Hollywood in Los Angeles in October.

The pair traded off singing lines as Brown played the guitar. In the video, Jackson strings her arm around Brown, laughing and seeming to have a pretty good time on stage.

Her voice has more than a passing similarity to her late father’s, especially in tone.

“Nothing better than when your little cousin knows the words to your record ‘Smile’ and wants to sing it with you,” Brown said about 19-year-old Jackson in a caption under the Instagram video. Take a look at the duet in the video below:

Paris Jackson has started to become a star in her own right recently.

Earlier this year, she teamed up with “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown for roles in XX’s music video “I Dare You.” The video also featured Ashton Sanders of “Moonlight” fame.

Jackson is also making a name for herself in fashion. Back in March, she was signed by top modeling agency IMG. The agency represents celebs such as Karlie Kloss and the Hadid sisters.

The photos from a Vanity Fair spread about her last spring had people comparing her looks to those of Madonna and Marilyn Monroe.

Meanwhile, Jackson is taking time away from her busy schedule and growing fame to support worthy causes. She recently chartered a plane and brought relief supplies to victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

In August 2017, she spoke out against the Charlottesville violence before presenting at the MTV Video Music Awards.

“You know, if we all put our voices together, do you realize the difference we would make?” Jackson said onstage at the awards show.

We hear her loud and clear, and we look forward to hearing more from this talented young woman.
