Peanut Butter And Jelly Oreos Are In Stores Now
What are your thoughts on this new Oreo combo?
Oreo is releasing something that will surely be your kids’ go-to after-school snack. But who am I kidding? Adults will probably enjoy this treat just as much as kids.
Brace yourselves people because Peanut Butter and Jelly Oreos are coming to a store aisle near you!
The Junk Banter Instagram account was the first to give a glimpse of Oreo’s latest product.
According to several reports, these cookies will only be available in Kroger stores, and based on the packaging in the photo, this flavor will be a limited edition.
So, you’ll have to act quickly to get your hands on the peanut butter and jelly goodness.
Woke up to some porn in my inbox today. New PB&J Oreos! 😍 This has long been a dream flavor for me and is the perfect release for back-to-school season (peep that chalkboard math on the package). My intel suggests they're exclusive to Kroger stores, which makes sense since Kroger got an exclusive last August too (the awful Swedish Fish). These will be on shelves as soon as today.
Oreo has confirmed that the flavor is making its debut, but they haven’t provided any more details about where we’ll be able to purchase these wonders.
These cookies actually resemble a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The center is a peanut butter and jelly flavored swirl that’s wedged between two vanilla cookies—which I’ll say is an upgrade from white bread.
The only part of this cookie that’s remotely troubling is the jelly flavored cream. It’s not easy to nail a fruit flavor without it tasting too artificial (unless you’re using real fruit, of course). But, if Oreo can pull it off—this could easily go down as just a big of a hit as the original PB&J sandwich.
Folks sounded off in the comments section on Instagram, and the consensus seems to be that people are very excited to get their hands on these cookies.
“Dreams do come true,” wrote one commenter.
“Omg I need this,” wrote another.
According to Junk Banter, these began rolling out in select stores on Aug. 2, and The Implusive Buy has confirmed there are packages already on shelves.
So, if you haven’t made a trip to Kroger recently—now you’ve got the perfect excuse (or maybe motivation) to go grocery shopping.
