This Pecapplekin Pie Combines 3 Favorite Holiday Pies Into 1

Nothing says Thanksgiving quite like pumpkin pie. Or pecan pie. Or, wait, some people enjoy apple pie on Turkey Day, too. Hmm. So what’s a host to do?

How about you make all three?

Don’t worry. I am not asking you to make THREE pies for the big day. There’s not enough Pinot Grigio in the world to help you cope with that level of stress! Nope, instead I am talking about the most clever holiday baking recipe ever to circulate the internet: the Pecapplekin Pie.

Yep, you read that right. Three pies stacked into one. Three pies coming together to create the most epic Thanksgiving dessert ever known to mankind.

I know, it sounds a bit out there! But, think about it: Pumpkin, pecan and apple. These flavors of fall are already harmonious. Why not combine them into one scrumptious, heavenly pie? Not only will it be unique, but you will save yourself the time of making more than one pie!

Check out the video above and get the recipe from People.com.

Not everyone is loving the idea of the the Pecapplekin Pie. GQ writer Joshua Rivera calls it “an assault on a sacred national holiday tradition.”

While it may be too non-traditional for your tastes, one Twitter user made the good point that this clever recipe could help prevent holiday arguments. Which, let’s face it, after this election season, the last thing anyone wants is more arguments at the dinner table!

So what do you think? Would you be on board for the Pecapplekin pie?
