‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Peter Dinklage And Wife Welcome Baby No. 2
Congratulations are in order for “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage, 48, and his wife of 12 years, Erica Schmidt, 42. The couple recently welcomed their second child into the world, according to Us Weekly. The pair have 5-year-old daughter as well.
If you’re wondering about the new baby’s sex, name, and exact date of birth, then you’ll have to join the guessing game with the rest of us! The notoriously private couple refuses to divulge either of their children’s names or any other details about them. In fact, news of their second child’s birth was only confirmed after Dinklage and Schmidt were spotted at a concert with the newborn in September.

Is Zelig Really Their Daughter’s Name?
For a time, people were convinced that their eldest daughter had been named “Zelig,” a quirky name that seems like it belongs in an episode of “Game of Thrones.” (Can’t you imagine a young Zelig joining forces with Daenerys to battle Queen Cersei?)
However, Dinklage dispelled that rumor in 2015, telling The Guardian: “Her name is not Zelig. But it’s hilarious that that’s a fact in Wikipedia.”
Privacy is important to this celebrity couple, and Dinklage is nostalgic for a time when people didn’t constantly document their lives on social media and snap photos on their cell phones. He told The Guardian he finds it frustrating when fans sneak photos of him on the streets of New York, where he lives.
“It’s hard when you have your kid with you and you feel everyone is just spying and not really living in the moment. Nothing is private any more, especially with the younger generation,” he said.
Still, while we don’t know many personal details about this secretive celeb and his wife, we have been lucky enough to glimpse a few photos and can confirm that they have an adorable family.
Who Is Erica Schmidt?
Schmidt is an actress and has also worked in costume design. She attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she reportedly was a one-time roommate of Alicia “Lecy” Goranson. Goranson was the actress who played the original Becky Conner on “Roseanne.” Both she and the “new” Becky, played by actress Sarah Chalke, will be featured in the “Roseanne” reboot in 2018—though it’s unclear how the plot will work out to accommodate both.

Schmidt and Dinklage have been married since 2005. Dinklage’s role in 2003’s “The Station Agent” has been called his “breakthrough” role, and he’s since gone on to earn critical acclaim and various awards, including a Golden Globe and two Emmys, for his role as Tyrion Lannister on “Game of Thrones.”
You may also recognize Dinklage from his roles in the following films: Lassie (2005), “The Chronicle of Narnia: Prince Caspian” (2008), “Ice Age: Continental Drift” as the voice of Captain Gutt (2012) and “X-Men: Days of Future Past” (2014).

Congratulations to the parents on their new bundle of joy!
