Pharrell Williams compares parenting triplets to working an assembly line

Earlier this year, hip-hop mogul Pharrell Williams and wife Helen Lasichanh welcomed triplets into their family. Judging from what Williams has shared about new parenthood, it sounds like caring for the three babies, whose names and genders have not yet been revealed, is quite the task. Back in June, Williams appeared on “The Tonight Show” and told host Jimmy Fallon, “It’s a full-on assembly line.”

But don’t worry. “All of them are fine and healthy,” he assures the Tonight Show audience. Check out the hilarious clip below.

It seems the triplets may have inherited some singing talent from their dad, who explained, “They harmonize when they cry. It’s a chain reaction.”

Although he mimed changing three diapers in a row in the clip, diaper duty may be one part of the assembly line Williams skips. Appearing on the Today Show, Williams claimed that he does not change diapers, replying to host Hoda Kotb’s question about the task, “No. No. My wife is Seal Team Six. There’s nothing she can’t do. I mean, she carried those three bodies and she’s on it all the time.”

On behalf of mothers everywhere, we sincerely hope he was joking!

While it’s unclear whether or not Williams actually chips in when it comes to diaper duty, other celebrity dads gladly step up to the plate. Dwayne the Rock Johnson even posted a photo of himself changing his daughter’s diaper on Instagram, captioning the snap, “Regardless of where we’re at.. when #2 happens with my baby girl.. I’m the #1 man for the job.”

“Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum is also not above the less-than-glamorous chore, telling People in 2014, “I’m solid at changing a diaper now. If a guy isn’t good at changing a diaper, I don’t know what he’s there for, really, ’cause they’re not there for the first seven months for any other reason than to do that because the mom is the end-all, be-all of everything.”

Sounds like Pharrell should take note!
