Caffeinated Sparkling Water Is Your Newest Way To Recharge
It’s no secret that we live in a caffeinated nation. From caffeinated peanut butter to chewable coffee, it seems like we are always looking for a new way to get our morning jolt. Now, there’s a sparkling water on the market promising a caffeine fix — but with a healthy twist.
The new drink is called Phocus and contains no calories, preservatives, sodium or sweeteners. It is also vegan, kosher, non-GMO and gluten-free. In addition to a regular sparkling water flavor, it also comes in the flavors yuzu and lime, blood orange, cucumber and grapefruit.
The only ingredients in each drink are reverse osmosis sparkling water, natural flavor, citric acid, caffeine from natural green tea, an amino acid called L-theanine and electrolytes. Instead of sugars, the flavorings come from natural, unsweetened, calorie-free fruit and plant-based oil extracts.

So, how does this stack up to your usual mode of caffeination? There are 75 mg of caffeine derived from green tea in each 11.5 ounce can of Phocus, which is equal to about one eight ounce cup of coffee or three cups of tea.
Caffeinated sparkling water can also serve as a base for a mixed drink, too. You could whip up a caffeinated cocktail like the Phocus Margarita, which combines the blood orange flavor with tequila, lime and agave. Yum!

Currently, Phocus is only sold in stores in Connecticut, Florida, Indiana and Kentucky, but it can also be purchased on Amazon in 12-packs for $19.99 . Just look to see if it’s available at a store near you.
