Catherine Zeta-Jones And Michael Douglas’ Kids Are Now Teens Who Look A Lot Like Their Parents

Boy, does time fly! It seems like just yesterday that Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas were tying the knot, but it’s been 18 years since this couple said “I do” in 2000.

Months before becoming man and wife, Zeta-Jones and Douglas welcomed their first child together, a son named Dylan. Three years later, they had another child, a girl they named Carys. And now, those little ones are teenagers who are nearly all grown up: Dylan is 18 years old and Carys is 15.

The kids are the perfect combination of both mom and dad, as you can see in pictures of the entire family that they’ve posted online.

Now, he’s a high school graduate who is away at college. Zeta-Jones posted about being a “proud mom” on Instagram on his graduation day:

Of course, her daughter is growing up quickly, too. Zeta-Jones and Carys share a striking resemblance, as you can see from their shared Town & Country magazine cover:

The 15-year-old couldn’t help but point out the similarities she and her brother share. She posted a photo on Instagram of the two of them with the caption, “see the resemblance?” Why, yes. Yes we do.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones have seen a lot together during their 18-year-marriage, and what’s helped them get through it is by being each other’s best friend.

“I think understanding, listening, being friends, all helps,” Zeta-Jones said in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” in 2017. “It’s been a great 17 years.”

Douglas credited his admiration for his wife for making their marriage so great.

“I think mutual respect,” he told “Entertainment Tonight.” “I admire Catherine so much and in so many ways — as a mother, as an actress, and now as a business woman.”

While Zeta-Jones has continued to work throughout the years, Douglas was happy to stay at home and spend time with the kids.

“I’m not driven like I once was – these days I am consumed with being a father and with my responsibilities as a husband,” he explained to The Guardian. Douglas also has an older son, Cameron Douglas, from a previous marriage, and he admitted to not being a present father for Cameron because he was pursuing his career instead.

But creating a family with Zeta-Jones gave the actor a second chance at fatherhood.

“I never anticipated starting a family at my age,” he told The Guardian back in 2010. “I’m genuinely happy to let Catherine work, while I stay at home with the children. I cherish this time.”

Of course, Zeta-Jones has loved every minute of being a mom, too.

She told NBC’s “Today,” “I love [being a mom]! I love it! … I just love the freshness. It’s all so exciting to me!”

Now that their kids are teenagers, the freshness will just keep coming! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for this family.
