It’s been 25 years since the release of the iconic family movie “Mrs. Doubtfire.” Although it’s been a quarter century since the film premiered, it has remained a beloved classic for generations of movie-watchers. And recently, a few of the cast members enjoyed a mini-reunion.

The movie starred Robin Williams as Daniel Hillard, a divorced dad who struggles with his inability to spend enough time with his kids. In order to gain access to their lives, he poses as Mrs. Doubtfire, a housekeeper who goes to work in his children’s home.

Pierce Brosnan plays Stu Dunmeyer, the new boyfriend of the kids’ mom, Miranda Hillard (Sally Field). Recently, Brosnan had a mini-reunion with the child actors from the film, who are now all grown up: Lisa Jakub, Mara Wilson and Matthew Lawerence.

Jakub shared a photo of the whole gang together on Instagram:

“So this happened. #mrsdoubtfire #reunion #25years later,” she captioned the photo of the actors together at a restaurant.

She also shared a video of Brosnan holding out a photo of the kids at the original premiere of the movie back in 1993.

“Here you go, at the premiere of ‘Mrs. Doubtfire,’ and here we are, we pull back slowly, and ta-da!” Brosnan says in the video as the camera pans to reveal the three actors all grown up today. “Love you, love you all so much. So good to be part of your lives,” he added before joining the frame.

“Our stepdad!” proclaims Wilson.

Their meet-up was for a reunion special in honor of the movie’s 25th anniversary, set to air on NBC’s “Today” next month. Unfortunately, Field was unable to attend the event.

The star of the movie, Robin Williams, tragically died by suicide in 2014. At the reunion, his absence was keenly felt, as noted by Brosnan in his caption of his own snap from the reunion posted to Instagram.

“Robin is in heaven making the angels laugh and was spoken of with the fondest of love and sweet memories,” he wrote.
