Pink And Her Kids Cover People magazine’s 2018 ‘Beautiful Issue’

Pop superstar Pink is not much into labels, so we’re guessing she is pretty cool with the fact that People magazine ditched the word “most” from their usual “most beautiful” title before bestowing it upon her. Instead, Pink is covering People’s first-ever, newly improved “Beautiful Issue” — along with her two adorable children!

“Over the years, the name of the issue has evolved (‘50 Most Beautiful,’ ‘Most Beautiful Woman,’ etc.), but the words ‘Most Beautiful’ have always been part of the title,” according to the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jess Cagle. He continued in an editor’s letter:

“This year we’re renaming it ‘The Beautiful Issue’ — to make clear that the issue is not a beauty contest. Nothing else has changed. As always it will feature beautiful women (and a few men) of all shapes, sizes and colors, and it will celebrate the most beautiful qualities of all: strength, humanity and artistry.”

And of course, Pink was included in this round-up:

Pink is truly a beautiful person inside and out. She has been open about how she’s working to encourage all types of people to just be themselves and how she’s teaching her children to do the same.

She told People magazine about how she and husband Carey Hart are raising their kids — Willow, 6, and Jameson, 1 — and how “humbling” of an experience it has been.

“The thing about parenting is you never know if anything you’re doing is working,” she told People. “That’s been the most humbling thing for me. In my head, I sound amazing and then I turn around and [my daughter’s] eyes are completely glazed over. I have no idea. We’ll see.”

Pink has made it clear that she loves her kids and accepts them no matter what. While accepting an award at MTV’s Video Music Awards last year, Pink told the audience about the advice she gave after her daughter had been made fun of for “looking like a boy.”

Pink has also been referred to as masculine-looking before, she told the audience. But, you don’t see her changing her ways!

“So, baby girl, we don’t change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl,” she told Willow. “We help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty.”

Pink has previously opened up about the fact that her children live in a gender- neutral household. She told People about other ways she is teaching her kids not to see things as black and white, as gender binaries are so limiting.

“I have boys that flip dirt bags and I have boy friends that wear dresses. It’s all okay to me,” she told the magazine. “It’s whatever floats your boat. So that’s the kind of house that we live in.”

Pink definitely doesn’t live life inside the lines and neither will her kids. “I always tell Willow, ‘I’m going to teach you the rules so that you’ll know how and when to break them,’” she told People.

People could not have chosen a more worthy cover star. This outlook on life is precisely what makes the singer and her family so beautiful!
