We have made so many of Ree Drummond’s recipes over the years, from her BBQ comfort meatballs to her famous lasagna to her blackberry cheesecake squares. But now, fans of “The Pioneer Woman” will have a whole new way to connect with their favorite down-home chef: By playing with the new Ree Drummond Barbie just released by Mattel.

Mattel made a “Pioneer Woman” Barbie in Drummond’s likeness, and it’s about time, too, because kids seem to love her show just as much as adults! Drummond has said that she sees many kids at her shows around the country, and it’s no secret that kids love to be involved in the kitchen.

What’s more, research has shown that when kids spend time cooking with their parents, they are more likely to grow up to be healthy eaters and they are more likely to be confident about their skills in the kitchen as adults.

Hence, whether you are 4 years old or 40 years old, cooking shows like “The Pioneer Woman” can be a relaxing way to pick up new skills and recipes … and playing with The Pioneer Woman can bring that experience to life for kids.

While Drummond jokes that the Barbie doesn’t look too much like her, we think that the red hair and chic boots are a dead ringer for the talented chef. In fact, she insisted upon those boots for her doll! When she first saw the Barbie, she was wearing tennis shoes, which didn’t feel quite right to Drummond.

“I immediately said, ‘You know, I wear sneakers maybe if I work out, and who knows when that’s going to be?'” Drummond told Delish.

The Pioneer Woman Barbie comes with a fully stocked kitchen, including a stove, refrigerator, stand mixer, an Instant Pot (perhaps modeled after her own), a cast iron skillet, and a working toaster with toast that pops up! The kitchen also comes with plenty of other realistic-looking play food.

The Ree Drummond Barbie and all of her accessories retail for $44.95, but the toy set is already out of stock at many locations, including Walmart. So, if you see a Pioneer Woman Barbie available, you better move fast to grab it!
