Prince Harry burst into song at a performance of ‘Hamilton’ and the cast’s reaction was perfect
Prince Harry recently enjoyed a night out at the theater when he attended a performance of “Hamilton” at a charity gala auction at Victoria Palace Theatre in London’s West End. The royal ended up doing a mini-performance of his own when he took the stage after the show to thank the cast, crew and audience and began to sing the opening lines of “You’ll Be Back” from the hit musical.
The crowd erupted into cheers and laughter. Unfortunately, before he could really get crooning, he cut himself off, saying, “That’s not going to happen.” Check out the charming moment on video, posted to Twitter by Kensington Palace:
"You say…"

The show was a benefit for Sentebale, the HIV charity Prince Harry co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. The organization partners with local grassroots organizations to help children in Lesotho and Botswana, who are living with poverty and HIV/AIDS, to lead healthy and productive lives.
“Together you have raised a huge amount of money to change the lives of children in Botswana and Lesotho,” Prince Harry told the audience when he took the stage.
Wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, was also on hand for the event, and the royal couple held a meet-and-greet session with the cast following the performance. The event marked the first time the two have been seen out together in public since attending the wedding of Prince Harry’s friend Charlie van Straubenzee on Aug. 4, which happened to fall on Markle’s 37th birthday.
Prince Harry and his wife looked absolutely stunning in matching black ensembles for the performance. Markle wore a Judith & Charles black tuxedo mini dress and matching black heels for the occasion.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, the play’s creator, was honored to have Prince Harry speak at the event, calling it “fun and surreal” and adding, “You don’t often get a direct descendant,” of the characters to watch the show, referring to the character of King George III, Prince Harry’s ancestor.
