Kensington Palace has released photos of a low-key trip Prince Harry took to Africa back in June. The previously unseen snaps capture the newlywed prince completely in his element while playing with children.
Prince Harry visited Sentebale, a charity he co-founded in Lesotho, Africa to “meet with children and young people involved in [its] programs of education and care providing the tools and knowledge this vulnerable generation need to live long, happy, healthy lives in future,” according the charity’s Instagram account.
While on his trip, the prince couldn’t help but joke around with the kids, get caught up in games and overall have a ball. And there are photos to prove it!
In this image released by Kensington Palace, you can see Prince Harry even let a little one try his sunglasses on:

This photo, captured by photographer Chris Jackson, showed how Prince Harry set aside time to have some fun while with Sentebale’s children. Jackson caught the prince mid-chase and later shared the photo on Instagram:

“As always Prince Harry, not one to stand by and watch, got stuck in as the children from the Mamohato Children’s Centre and played games as part of a program that educates and helps empower them to take control of their future,” the photographer wrote on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has been photographed goofing around with kids, either! While visiting Ireland with his wife Meghan Markle earlier this month, the prince joked with a little boy who pulled Markle’s hair.
You can see Prince Harry jokingly wagging his finger, as if to say, “Hey, what do you think you’re doing!” And it’s absolutely adorable:
Both he and his wife got a laugh out of the encounter with the toddler, who proceeded to stroke Markle’s face and hair. (She is very pretty!) Kids will be kids, you know?
It’s clear that Prince Harry loves children, and even as an uncle, he puts an emphasis on having fun.
“[As an uncle, it’s my job] to make sure he has a good upbringing, and keep him out of harm’s way and to make sure he has fun,” he told the BBC shortly after Prince George was born in 2013. “The rest I’ll leave to the parents.”

Considering Prince William and Kate Middleton are now the parents to three children, Prince Harry’s had quite a bit of experience playing the fun uncle — and you can tell he’s perfect for the job.
Despite his royal status, he’s not afraid to let loose and run around with kids from time to time, and it’s so heartwarming to see!
