Prince Louis, the youngest of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s three children, was recently photographed with his family for the first time since his birth. The family stepped out to attend a christening service for the youngest prince on July 9.
While the family kept the ceremony small and private — so much so that Princess Charlotte even told the paparazzi they weren’t invited to the private tea to be held after the ceremony — photographers were allowed to snap some images of the family as they entered the church.
Those photos yielded a very happy-looking royal family and a very sleepy Prince Louis, who slept in his mother’s arms as they entered, as you can see below:
But thankfully, the palace let the public in on even more moments from the event and posted photos from after the christening service on their Instagram account.
One photo, in particular, was a stand out, thanks to Prince Louis’s beaming grin. The lovely photo was posted as a sort of bonus for fans of the royal family.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released an additional photograph taken following the christening of Prince Louis,” the caption read. “The Duke and Duchess hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do.”
Both mother and son are all smiles in this photo, and it couldn’t be more adorable.
More photos from the happy occasion include those taken at Clarence House following the baptism, which feature Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as well as Pippa Middleton and her husband smiling with the royal family of five.
The family couldn’t look more content in the official portraits — and it really is sweet to see them all together.
