Prince William Recreated One of Kate Middleton’s Childhood Photos And It’s So Sweet
Kate Middleton may not have been able to travel to the Middle East with her husband, but she’s definitely there in spirit.
While visiting Amman, Jordan, Prince William recreated a photo — standing in the exact same spot his wife stood in when she was just 4 years old.
Middleton’s family moved to Amman when she was 2 years old and spent nearly three years there while her father was working with British Airways. Later, the family returned to Berkshire, England, but they still have amazing memories of their time in Amman.
“My wife Catherine is very sorry she cannot be here with me so soon after the birth of our son Louis, but her family remembers very fondly the almost three years she spent here as a child when her father worked for British Airways in Amman,” Prince William reportedly said at a reception at the British ambassador to Jordan’s residence.

To honor her time there, Prince William was able to pose in the same location where Middleton, her father and sister, Pippa, posed in a family photograph years ago.
How’s that for a sweet “wish you were here” message?
But apparently the photo set-up wasn’t actually the prince’s idea. In fact, it was a surprise for him, as well.
When Prince William walked out to visit the Roman Ruins, the old photograph of his wife as a young girl was already in place, just waiting for him to see it.

He was very surprised when he saw the photo. “He did not expect that,” Samia Khouri, Director of Museums at Jordan’s Department of Antiquities, told reporters. “But that’s why he was here, because he wanted to take a photo at the same spot where Kate was photographed.”
Prince William and Middleton have been married for seven years and have three children together, but they’re still doing sweet things — such as recreating photos — for each other, and they’re still able to make each other laugh, which is so great to see.
For example, Middleton couldn’t stop laughing at her husband when he was asked to gallop like a horse while at an event — proving that their royal relationship is anything but boring.

Their sense of humor no doubt comes in handy now that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are parents to three young children. The couple seems to work well together when it comes to taking care of their little ones.
Earlier this year, we talked to a body language expert, who weighed in on Prince William and Middleton’s parenting styles. Dan Ribacoff, CEO of International Investigative Group, and a polygraph examiner trained in speech and body language recognition, helped us decode some photos of the royal parents interacting with their little prince and princess.
Among other observations, Ribacoff said that Middleton appears to be an attentive parent who spends time teaching her children, while Prince William leads his family.
According to an official press release from the palace, the prince will be traveling to Jordan, Israel and the West Bank through June 28, but he’ll be back time for his son’s christening, scheduled to take place on July 9.

Then, he’ll be reunited with his adorable family — and likely have some great stories to tell his wife about the country she once called home.
