Princess Charlotte Could Not Be Cuter In Her First Day Of School Photos

The first day of school is a big occasion for any family.

When the tot in question is Princess Charlotte, however, there is worldwide interest in this milestone. That’s why the royal family released two photos this morning showing the little princess headed off to preschool.

In both photos, 2-year-old Princess Charlotte wears a red coat, grey stockings, red Mary Janes, a pink scarf and a red bow. And of course she’s wearing a tiny pink backpack! Her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton), took the photographs before Charlotte left for school.

According to People.com, Charlotte’s wool coat costs around $150 and is made by the British brand Amaia, while her backpack is by Cath Kidston.

Princess Charlotte is attending Willcocks Nursery School in Royal Trinity Church, located in Kensington, London. She will attend both morning and afternoon classes.

Class size is small at Willcocks, with only 32 children, ages two to five in attendance. According to People.com, the annual tuition is £9,150, or around $12,000, for morning classes and £14,550, or around $19,500 for both morning and afternoon classes.

Four-year-old Prince George attends a London school called Thomas’ Battersea. In September, he posed for photographs on his first day of school with his dad, the Duke of Cambridge.

Princess Charlotte, who is fourth in line to the throne, has a busy social calendar of her own. In addition to beginning nursery school, she’s also set to become a big sister when the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to her third child who is due in April 2018. Kensington Palace has not yet revealed whether they are expecting a prince or a princess.

The very next month, in May 2018, Charlotte will attend her uncle Prince Harry’s wedding to American actress Meghan Markle, which will be held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

While it hasn’t been announced yet by the palace, Princess Charlotte is the perfect age to serve as a flower girl during the big to-do.

Over the summer, Charlotte served as a flower girl in her aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews.
