With the ‘90s and early ‘00s trending in the fashion world as of late, I’ve had the time period on the brain. It’s hard not to be constantly reminded of the decades when there are brown lipsticks, choker necklaces and denim on denim everywhere you look.

So, while I’ve been digging certain trendy pieces out of my closet, there’s been talk of resurrecting something I never imagined would make a comeback.

So, get very, very excited. Because I’ve got some big news for you— Princess Diaries 3 could be happening. It’s shocking, I know. I’ll excuse you while you squeal.

Better now? Ok. Let’s get the details, shall we? Director Gary Marshall has been chatting to Anne Hathaway about creating a third installment of everyone’s favorite ‘00s film.

“I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan,” Marshall told People. “Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it.”

Yes, indeed, it seems like Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi, Queen of Genovia could be apart of our lives once more. And this is the best news I’ve heard all day.

You can say that, again!

Details about plot line (like why the Queen is in Manhattan, for example) and the cast list have not been released, but just knowing that third movie could be happening is enough to hold us over for now, right?
