Pumpkin spice lattes will be available at Starbucks earlier than ever before

Are you over the dog days of summer yet? If you’re looking forward to flannels, boots, falling leaves and all things pumpkin spice, we have some good news for you: Starbucks is about to signal the beginning of fall by rolling out their pumpkin spice latte.

The iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte officially returns for its 18th year on Tuesday, Aug. 24. The PSL combines espresso and steamed milk with the fall flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. It can be served hot or iced and is topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices.

According to a Starbucks representative, the coffee chain has sold more than 500 million PSLs in the U.S. since 2003, making it one of the company’s most popular seasonal beverages of all time.

If you’re not quite ready for hot, steamy beverages yet, though, a colder pumpkin-flavored drink is also making a return to Starbucks locations. The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is made with cold brew and vanilla syrup and topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice.

For those who love all things pumpkin, the coffee chain’s fall bakery items are also back on menus. For a limited time, you’ll find the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and pumpkin scone joining the pumpkin loaf, which is available year-round.

You can also find Starbucks seasonal products in stores so you can enjoy them at home, including the new pumpkin spice non-dairy creamer and pumpkin spice cold brew concentrate, plus other pumpkin spice-flavored products.

Dunkin’ got ahead of Starbucks with its own fall lineup of pumpkin-spice offerings this year, launching on Aug. 18. The Dunkin’ menu includes a Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and pumpkin doughnuts, doughnut holes and muffins.

For those who don’t like pumpkin, Dunkin’ also has an Apple Cranberry Dunkin’ Refresher, Apple Cranberry Dunkin’ Coconut Refresher and an apple cider doughnut.
