Rare Black Moon Arrives Friday Night
Remember Pink Floyd’s album “The Dark Side of the Moon”? Well, this Friday night (Sept. 30 at 8:11 p.m. ET), you will be able to see what the dark side of the moon actually looks like. It’s technically called a black moon and it is the second new moon to occur within a month. The last time it happened was two years ago, and it won’t happen again until July of 2019.
When you look up in the sky on Sept. 30, only the dark side of the moon will be visible, which means, as Elite Daily reports, you will essentially see nothing. A totally dark sky just as October begins? Sounds pretty spooky to us!
