Awesome parody song from Girl Scout and her dad helps sell 5,000 cookies

Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us again as thousands of ambitious young ladies aim to tempt you with their sweet treats and earn money for their troop. Popular longtime favorites like Trefoils, Samoas and Thin Mints are back, along with the new Girl Scout S’Mores.

One adorable Georgia girl scout and her supportive dad came up with an innovative and impossibly cute way to sell cookies. Seymore Harrison Jr. and his daughter Charity Joy created a now-viral video of the duo singing their very own version of Childish Gambino’s “Redbone”—and it’s all about Girl Scout Cookies!

Six-year-old Charity belts out, “Thin Mints, you wanna order some before it’s too late. We also got Trefoils and they taste great. Tagalongs will make you feel fine.” Then, Harrison (aka Daddy Mo) pipes in, “Samoas, are coconut cookies with caramel. You wanna get them now because they’re gonna sell. I promise it’ll be worth your time.”

Charity Joy’s ambitious and impressive goal was to sell 1,300 boxes of cookies. The idea to sell that number came to her as she was making her 2018 vision board. Yes you read that correctly; this little girl has a vision board.

After Harrison posted the ditty on Facebook, it quickly went viral, earning about 4 million views since Feb. 17. And perhaps the best part? Charity has surpassed her goal of selling 1,300 boxes! In fact, she sold so many that she’s now raised her goal to 5,000 boxes—which she’s also close to meeting.

The supportive comments have flooded in from people who are loving the father-daughter duo. “This is TOO CUTE!!!! And, I adore the fact that she committed her lines to memory,” someone commented. Another person wrote “Definitely one of my top favorite videos of all time!!!”

If you would like to buy any cookies from Charity, visit her Girl Scout Cookie selling page. Donald Glover, if you’re reading this, please buy some cookies. We heard Tagalongs will make you feel fine.
