Reese’s cupcakes are both filled with and topped with peanut butter

While it may have felt a bit different this year, Easter is officially over. For chocolate-lovers, that means you’ll soon be unable to find Reese’s eggs in stores — if they’re not all gone already.

While it’s definitely sad news for fans of the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, we have may found the perfect thing to help fill the void until Hershey’s (hopefully) brings back their Reese’s bats for Halloween.

Allow me to introduce you to Mrs. Freshley’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Flavored Cupcakes. Not only are the chocolate cupcakes topped with peanut butter icing, but they’re also filled with peanut butter cream. They’re then drizzled with chocolate and finished off with brown, yellow and orange sprinkles.

Instagram user Candy Funhouse spotted them in early March and posted a photo showing what they look like out of the package:

You can find the cupcakes at Sam’s Club in a 12-count box for $8.98 that also includes another flavor — Hershey’s Chocolate Cakes, which are chocolate-flavored cakes made with Hershey’s cocoa.

The cupcakes are individually wrapped and each package contains two, for a total of 24 cupcakes per box. They are labeled for resale, which means you’ll likely be able to find them individually outside of Sam’s Club, like in gas stations and convenience stores. We can’t confirm they are for sale anywhere other than Sam’s Club, but if you find yourself at such a store, you might want to take a look!

Sam's Club

It appears the cupcakes are also available in Europe, with some Instagram posts showing them in Germany, but we do not know how long they’ve been around.

So, how good are they? One Instagrammer who was able to get her hands on some described them as “480 calories of pure joy.”

If you don’t have a Sam’s Club near you or can’t find them elsewhere, you can also try your hand at making them yourself. This recipe for stuffed cupcakes calls for devil’s food cake mix and homemade peanut butter frosting, plus a peanut butter cup inside and Reese’s Pieces candy on top.

Are you a Reese’s fan? Will you be picking up some cupcakes from Sam’s Club or try making them yourself?
