Reese’s is launching its first-ever snack cake and we can’t wait to try it

Reese's

Of all the food combinations that exist, if you ask me, it just doesn’t get better than chocolate and peanut butter.

No one understands that better than Reese’s, which pretty much owns the peanut butter-chocolate combo. From their classic peanut butter cups to Reese’s eggs for Easter, bats for Halloween and just about everything in between, they have us covered.

And now, they’ve come up with another new treat, and it’s unlike any others before. New Reese’s Snack Cakes are made with soft-baked chocolate cake, topped with Reese’s peanut butter cream, then covered in smooth milk chocolate. They are a first-of-its-kind cake treat by the Reese’s brand.

While Reese’s is marketing these as a morning treat, you don’t have to eat them for breakfast. Post-lunch, dessert after dinner, a midnight snack — it all works. You can find them in a two-cake pack for around $1.99 beginning in December 2020 at convenience stores nationwide.

While you patiently wait for December to arrive, you can instead get your hands on a similar treat right now: Mrs. Freshley’s Reese’s cupcakes.

Available at most Walmart locations and other club, grocery and convenience stores, the cupcakes are chocolate-flavored, topped with peanut butter icing, filled with peanut butter cream, drizzled with chocolate and finished off with brown, yellow and orange sprinkles.

If you want even more Reese’s, Krispy Kreme has also brought their Reese’s classic doughnut back to the permanent menu after having fans vote on which Reese’s doughnut they wanted to see return.

The doughnut is filled with Reese’s peanut butter Kreme, dipped in Hershey’s chocolate icing, then topped with mini peanut butter chips and a drizzle of Reese’s chocolate and peanut butter sauce. It is available at Krispy Kreme locations nationwide.

You could also try making your own Reese’s-inspired dessert, like these Reese’s stuffed cupcakes or these no-bake Reese’s krispy cookies that look seriously easy to make.

Does chocolate and peanut butter top your list of favorite food combinations?
