You can rent an entire pirate ship for $300 a night on Airbnb

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for you? It could be, thanks to this unique rental on Airbnb. Located just outside of St. Paul, Minnesota, is a 65-foot ship that will enable you to check “live like a pirate” off of your bucket list.

Docked along the Mississippi River, this ship is designed to resemble a pirate ship in style, but has all of the amenities a modern swashbuckler might need.  The amenities include a shower, bathtub, central air and, yes, even Wi-Fi. Not to mention, there’s a bathroom on the ship, as well as in the Marina.

The ship can sleep four guests at a time with its two bedrooms and bathrooms. So you can bring the whole family for this once-in-a-lifetime type of Airbnb stay. The price to live like a modern-day pirate starts at $300 a night and there’s an additional $300 fee for parties of 7-20 people — just in case you’re thinking of having your kid’s birthday party or something of the sort while on-board.

“This was a great, one of a kind experience. Our 3-year-old son absolutely loved it. He had so much fun looking for treasure and other pirates,” one Airbnb review reads.

One family of six had some great recommendations for large families looking to take a vacation on this ship.

“Our family of six booked the ship for two nights to celebrate our son’s fourth birthday. It was an all around amazing experience! The attention to detail in decoration and amenities was transportive. I will say for extended stays very small children (especially if they are potty training or toddlers) would not be very enjoyable,” the mom wrote on Airbnb.

She also added, “When planning for staying on the ship think of it as similar to camping in a cabin. There is a great grill and a full size fridge with a freezer. The rest of the kitchen is smaller/older to fit in a boat. The beds are a good size. The kids room is like a cozy cave with a big screen TV … Highly recommend book the ship for a stay or a party!”

Along with the details about the kitchen space and sleeping arrangements, it’s important to note that while the ship typically stays docked, it can still be tricky to move about.

“The Ship requires some agility to move about with some narrow walkways and steps that go straight up like a ladder,” the Airbnb listing states.

The ship is also not handicapped accessible. Keep this in mind when considering a stay or planning a party.
