This robot lives among penguins in Antarctica
An emperor penguin colony has a new metallic member.
A tiny robot, named “Echo,” is living with the penguins in Antarctica. The unmanned vehicle will help scientists study the vulnerability of marine ecosystems and potential problems that could be caused by climate change.
Researchers say the robot will help them collect data year-round while having less impact on the animals overall.
The researchers also say the penguins appear to be getting along well with Echo.
