‘Roseanne’ premiere date has been set

ABC

We can now now officially count down the days until we see “Roseanne” back on TV! A premiere date for ABC’s Emmy-winning show has been set and you’ll only have to wait a few more months!

The “Roseanne” reboot will premiere on ABC on Tuesday, March 27 with a one-hour special at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show will then air in its regular time slot beginning Tuesday, April 3, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Yup, you only have to make it through winter until you get to see the Conners back on TV!

The return of the beloved sitcom was announced in May, just in time for the show’s 3oth anniversary. But although it hasn’t been on the air since since the ’90s, the story of the blue-collar family just trying to make it in the world still resonates, even decades later.

“The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant—and hilarious—today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne,” said Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment.

A press release from ABC Entertainment says the cast and crew haven’t missed a beat and the revival will “explore life, death and everything in between through the relatable, hilarious and brutally honest lens of the Conner household.”

We can’t wait! In the meantime, the cast has been sharing photos and videos throughout filming for the season and they are making us so excited!

The original “Roseanne” aired for nine years between 1988 and 1997. It was the most-watched show in the 1989 to 1990 season, according to Nielsen ratings and knocked “The Cosby Show” from its position at No. 1. The show also won multiple Golden Globe and Emmy awards.

If you haven’t seen the original run of “Roseanne” or just want to catch up, Amazon has all nine seasons available for streaming. You’ve got plenty of time to catch up before the show returns in March!
