These ‘Rugrats’ Reptar bars will turn your tongue blue

If you were a fan of the 1990s Nickelodeon cartoon series “Rugrats,” get ready to relive those days by biting into your very own Reptar Bar. The snack, based on the fictional candy bar featured in the series, first launched last year and would turn the eater’s tongue green similar to the one on the show. Now, you can snag “Reptar on Ice” bars, which have blue frosting in the middle. They’re being sold in packs of five for $19.99 and are available exclusively at FYE locations.

“Each pack contains five individually wrapped chocolate bars with a blue frosting inside to turn your tongue ‘ice blue,'” reads the product description at FYE’s website. It’s a reference to the classic episode where the characters go to see the “Reptar on Ice” show.

You can also get the Reptar Bar Deluxe, which comes in the shape of Reptar, for $14.99. Just like the jingle said on the show, the bar is made with “chocolate and nuts and caramel and green stuff.”

Diehard fans can also get an 8-inch tall dissected vinyl Reptar figure for $99.99. Designed exclusively for FYE by artist Jason Freeny, it would probably make any “Rugrats” enthusiast smile.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that a “Rugrats” revival is in the works. The reboot will include a 26-episode season as well as a new live-action movie with CGI characters based on the series, currently set for release on Nov. 13, 2020.

“‘Rugrats’ is hands-down one of the most celebrated cartoons in TV history, and we are thrilled for a whole new audience to meet these iconic characters in brand-new adventures,” Sarah Levy, Viacom Media Network chief operating officer and Nickelodeon interim president, said in a statement. “We can’t wait for today’s kids to meet Tommy, Chuckie and pals.”
