RuPaul Just Revealed That He And His Boyfriend Of 23 Years Got Married!

We love this!

Our favorite TV diva (well one of them, anyway) RuPaul has revealed that he is married! The most famous drag queen in the world and his boyfriend of 23 years, Georges LeBar, finally tied the knot and we are crying happy tears.

RuPaul spilled the deets in an interview with Hollywood Today Live on March 15. Ru and LeBar have been together for more than two decades and got married on the anniversary of the day they met.

”I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in New York City, the disco,” Ru told Oprah during a “Where Are They Now?” segment several years ago. “He was on the dance floor dancing like a maniac and I had to go and say, ‘What are you going through?'”

During the Hollywood Today interview, Hollywood Today correspondent Ross Matthews asked Ru if he and Georges were ever going to tie the knot.

Ru’s response? “I’ve never said this on television before: We ARE married.”

Cue screams of shock and delight from the studio audience (and us, sitting on our couches at home).

The couple met in 1994 on LeBar’s birthday, so that’s when they got married. The couple made it official in January 2017 on the anniversary of when the pair met, RuPaul told Matthews and Ali Landry of Hollywood Today in the interview.

According to LeBar, who owns a 60,000 acre ranch that spans from South Dakota to Wyoming, the couple doesn’t get to see each other as frequently as they’d like. Between RuPaul being both a host and producer on the iconic reality show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and LeBar’s ranch, the pair only spend time together about every two months.

Between this excellently joyous news and the upcoming premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” as it comes into its ninth season, we have a lot to be thankful for. You can watch the whole interview below:
