Sandals Resorts is giving away 31 free vacations to nurses, moms, teachers and military personnel

The month of May is about to get a whole lot more special. Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, National Nurses Day and Military Month fall within May — and now, Sandals is offering folks an incredible way to celebrate! Every day during the month, the resort company will give away a free vacation to a deserving mom, teacher, nurse or member of the military.

“May is the month to appreciate people that rock! We are especially thankful to all of the mothers and the men and women who serve our country as teachers, nurses and military,” reads a statement on their site.

This giveaway is their way of saying thanks.

Since there are 31 days in May, there will be 31 lucky winners. Those lucky few will receive a seven-day, six-night luxury vacation.

The vacation package is for two adults and is valid for a stay in a  Love Nest Butler Suite at any Sandals or Beaches resort of the winner’s choosing.

The luxury package also includes exclusive butler service, complimentary green fees for golf, free non-stop round-trip airport transfers and more, according to the Sandals website.

Airfare is not included as part of the offer, but picking up the tab for airfare when your stay is completely complimentary isn’t so bad!

If you know someone who’s deserving of this vacation, you can nominate them to win — and if that means you nominate yourself, so be it! According to the rules, that’s totally allowed!

All you have to do to enter to win is provide the contact information for the person you’re nominating (or for yourself), upload their photo and also include a write-up detailing exactly why this person is deserving of a vacation in 250 characters or less.

You are only allowed to submit one nomination, and you’ve got until 11:59 p.m. EST on May 30 to enter.

There will be several prize drawings during the sweepstakes period. Nine winners will be chosen on May 10. Seven winners will be selected on May 17 and May 24. And the final eight winners will be selected on May 31.

Winners will be notified via email or phone.

Sandals isn’t the only company willing to treat teachers to a summer getaway. CheapCaribbean is also giving away free flights to teachers who book a stay at one of a selection of resorts in Mexico.

By signing up for the airline’s Beach 4 Teach Club — a club with no kid in sight, their website points out — you’ll be entering your name for a chance to be eligible to receive a free flight for yourself and a guest.

In order to be considered, you must book a stay at one of a selection of resorts in Mexico and fill out the Beach for Teach form. The first 50 teachers to do so by May 9 will receive the free fight offer.

It’s worth noting that only teachers in the United States will be considered for the CheapCarribbean deal.

According to the website, proof of employment in the form of a pay statement, state education certification, school website proving credentials or a school ID will be required for acceptance.
