“Saved by the Bell” and “Punky Brewster” are two throwback television shows that are getting reboots, and now the trailers for the new shows are here. These iconic shows that originally aired in the 1980s and 1990s were beloved by tween and teen audiences at the time, and now a whole new generation can experience the fun of these classic sitcoms.

Both reboots will premiere on Peacock, NBC’s new streaming platform, which launched on April 15 for Comcast Xfinity customers and will be available July 15, 2020 for the general public.

Production on “Saved by the Bell” was halted in March 2020 due to the coronavirus epidemic. No exact premiere dates have been released for either show, but they are both expected to be released sometime in 2020.

“Saved by the Bell” will catch up with the Bayside High students in the present day and stars some of the original cast members from the original series (1989-1993), including Mario Lopez as A.C. Slater, Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Zack Morris.

These days, Zack is still popular, as evidenced by the fact that he’s been elected governor of California. Meanwhile, Slater is still a jock and is a gym teacher at his alma mater. The show focuses on him and his life at Bayside High.

It’s unclear what profession whip-smart Jessie Spano ended up in, but we’re guessing wherever the ultimate perfectionist landed, she has a high-powered career.

“Remember how much fun high school used to be?” Slater asks her in the trailer.

“Can you believe that was like 30 years ago?” she responds incredulously.

Whoa — that is hard to believe!

New cast members include Josie Totah, Mitchell Hoog, Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Haskiri Velazquez and Alycia Pacscual-Pena.

We can’t wait to see all the hijinks that ensue!

In the updated version of 1984-1988’s “Punky Brewster,” Soleil Moon Frye reprises the titular role, and she’s now a single mom of three. Freddie Prinze Jr. will play her ex-husband Travis.

Judging by how Frye reacts to the fact that she’s put on mismatched shoes, which her daughter points out to her, Punky Brewster has grown out of her signature wacky yet super-cute style — but we’re sure she’s as charming as she ever was.
