Jennifer Lopez may have gotten her start as a dancer and singer, but she’s certainly no stranger to the big screen. She has starred in movies such as “Maid in Manhattan,” “Jersey Girl,” “The Wedding Planner,” and she’s got another new flick coming out in November.
Judging by the trailer, “Second Act” will be just as lovable as all of the other movie greatness Lopez has ever brought us. She stars as Maya, a 40-year-old woman who works at a big box store and never got the chance to fully realize her dreams. But after there’s an identity mix-up thanks to her friends making her a fake Facebook account, Maya is given the chance to land an executive role at a fancy company and change the course of her life forever.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a J.Lo film without some great laughs, dance moments and probably even some tears.
As you can see in the trailer below, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry and then you’ll laugh some more:
Acting alongside Lopez is Milo Ventimiglia from “This Is Us” and “The King of Queens” star Leah Remini. Because it’s just not a Lopez film without a super-cute love interest and a hilarious best friend who tells it like it is!
What makes the BFF duo work so well in “Second Act” is their undeniable chemistry on-and off-screen, Lopez told People magazine.
“We have an ease and natural chemistry that I think is reflected on screen,” Lopez said of Remini. “During filming, we’d try different things in different takes to make each other laugh, or push each other further. I’d go, ‘Do that thing you do,’ and then we’d just start riffing. We’d be totally off script, and having a ball.”
Charlene Yi and Vanessa Hudgens also star in this hilarious flick.
Be sure to check it out as soon as it hits theaters on November 21.
