Freeform’s 31 Nights Of Halloween Schedule Is Here

Get the candy and popcorn ready!

Freeform’s 13 Nights of Halloween has been a staple in my house for years, but if there was ever one thing I could change, it would simply be to stretch the event out for the whole month of October, similar to the cable network’s 25 Days of Christmas event.

Luckily, the bosses at Freeform thought the same and that means we’ll all be treated to 31 Nights of Halloween this year! While this new, month-long Halloween extravaganza was announced in May, the full schedule of programming has now been released and you can bet I’m already planning my entire October around it.

As always, the lineup includes classics (“Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” and “The Addams Family”) and newer movies (“Maleficent” and “Monsters University”), but perhaps the best part (at least for this ’90s kid)?

A “Hocus Pocus” marathon that runs for about 12 hours and is sure to get you through your entire Halloween. This is basically the Halloween version of the 24-hour marathon of “A Christmas Story,” but this time, it’s a black flame candle you need to watch out for, not a Red Ryder BB Gun.

Other films in the lineup include “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “Hotel Transylvania” and “The Goonies,” along with a new special called “Decorating Disney,” which will take you behind the scenes to “reveal all the tricks and treats behind the transformation of the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts into the scariest, yet still magical, places on Earth!”

Admittedly, some of the movies have absolutely nothing to do with Halloween (“Frozen,” “Mrs. Doubtfire”??) but they are still great picks.

So, grab some cider, your favorite witches and get ready for some serious Halloween viewing. Below is a look at the entire 31-day schedule, according to Freeform (all times are Eastern). The titles in bold are movies that have never been shown on Freeform.
