Serena Williams Introduces Baby Daughter Alexis In Adorable Video Diary

Last month, tennis champion Serena Williams gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr. The baby girl is named after Williams’ fiance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. And for fans hoping to get a glimpse of the newborn baby, you’re in luck! Yesterday, the new parents released a pregnancy video diary along with a first sweet snap of baby Alexis on Instagram.

The happy couple also posted a two-minute “pregnancy video diary” on YouTube, documenting their journey from when they first learned they would become parents through to the moment they brought their newborn daughter home from the hospital.

The intimate video shares many touching moments, including Williams proudly toting her trophy for her 23rd grand slam singles title at the Australian Open. It also reveals that she was eight weeks pregnant at the time, but the world did not yet know that the famous couple was expecting.

Williams also hints that the delivery and first few days of baby Alexis’ life may not have gone perfectly, noting at the end of the video, “So we’re leaving the hospital after six days. It’s been a long time. We had a lot of complications, but look what we got!”
