Simone Biles Makes Her Cheerleading Debut With The Houston Texans

This weekend, Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Simone Biles made her professional cheerleading debut. On Dec. 10, the star athlete became the first honorary member of the Houston Texans. While the Texans ultimately lost against the San Francisco 49ers, Biles wowed fans with her epic cheering skills.

Biles is a Houston native — she’s from an area called Spring — so it’s only natural that the Texans would claim her as one of their own.

“game day feels ❤️ so excited to dance at the Houston Texans Game!” she captioned the photo of herself.

They say everything is bigger in Texas, but that obviously doesn’t apply to pint-sized Biles. The gymnast posed for a snap alongside retired professional basketball player Hakeem Olajuwon, showing off her short stature:

Here she is entertaining fans with the rest of the cheerleading squad. She fits in perfectly:

It looks like she had a great time! Biles’ boyfriend and fellow gymnast, Stacey Ervin Jr., was there to cheer on his cheerleader and took to Instagram to express his excitement:

“Welcoming the newest Houston Texans Cheerleader. Thank you for a dope experience at my first Texans game!” he captioned his photos.

This is not the first time the gymnast has shown hometown pride. Back in August, Biles took time out of her busy schedule to volunteer for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston.

“I feel like Houston is one of the strongest cities in the world,” Biles told “Good Morning America” at the time. “It is amazing to see everyone giving back. Even people that have lost everything in this storm, they’re even coming and volunteering so that’s super exciting to see.”

Biles also announced Houston’s pick at the 2016 NFL Draft. It looks like H-town is proud to have such an awesome hometown hero in Biles!
