Sleeping In Minimal (Or No) Clothes Will Make For Better Sleep

Last week, we talked about how sleeping in a cool room will help you fall asleep quicker.

In case you missed it, the recommended temperature for a perfect night’s sleep is 65 degrees.

In addition to colder rooms, experts agree that sleeping with little (or no) clothes also will help you fall asleep quicker and provide for a deeper quality sleep.

The basic premise is quite simple and relates with the reasoning around why you should sleep in a cold room. According to Mic, your body needs to cool down so it can properly get into “sleep mode” and lighter clothing (or fully nude) will help drop your overall body temperature and keep it regulated while you sleep.

In addition to helping you fall asleep faster, sleeping naked also provides some added health benefits.

According to the Huffington Post, people that sleep naked were found to be more happy in their relationships (side note: only 15% of people who slept in onesies reported being happy in their relationship).

Plus, skin-to-skin contact with your partner will help decrease stress levels and lower blood pressure.
